Riitta's work

Riitta Herwitz cannot not make art. Some people have this problem. She finds herself in her studio, finding herself, again and again, through color, form, formlessness, expression, experiment, and exploration. Mixed media flying across found objects drenched in resin, cloaked in fabric, clinging to canvas. And as you look at her paintings, in equal part, they stare back at you—animate and inanimate merging as one.
